Hi friends,
In about a month I'll be presenting a webinar on how to find and attract ideal corporate partners to your nonprofit.
The goal is to help you get a foot in the door with the right companies so you can get their support for your marketing, donor attraction, volunteer programs, sponsorships, in-kind services, and more.
I'd love to hear from you so I can tailor the content a bit!
1) What are your biggest struggles or issues with finding/attracting corporate partners (and sponsors)?
2) What have you seen that's worked well?
3) Anything else that comes to mind!
Thanks!
Hello Chris,
Thank you for the heads-up!
Our organization (Kamp of Life), is fresh into the nonprofit world therefore, any insight that you are able to provide will be very helpful.
I hope that I will be able to make it to your presentation.

We are so excited to have you for another webinar, @Chris Barlow!
Everyone, we will be sharing the registration details for this session soon, so stay tuned.
In the meantime, feel free to leave questions & comments for Chris! He is a wealth of knowledge.
Also be sure to check out Chris's previous webinar with Donorbox: 7 Questions Every Nonprofit Should Ask to Supercharge Donor Growth.
This webinar actually provides some great context for what I'm going to be presenting on the 23rd.
If you haven't seen it, or you saw it last summer and forgot about it, I highly recommend skimming through it again. You will get even more out of what I teach about attracting corporate partners!
What works? Networking/leveraging your own contacts to make connections etc. There are also several great sites out there that list corp giving programs and/or those smaller co's that volunteer or donate to NPOs.
A strategy I'd love to see mixed in/get your insight on is how we leverage the fact that 70%+ of millennial/gen z will leave a company if it doesn't align with their values (and other similar/relevant '21 stats) and integrating these partnership opps is a great way to build that co culture + retain talent.
However, when there's not a specific role that handles these inquires, I feel often ppl don't know how to start. I sense it feels like a much larger commitment than it should. Part of that can come down to refining the approach/pitch, absolutely. I'd still love to dig into this a bit more i.e., how to ensure the most value for small/er-to-midsize businesses that will entice them to put the resources towards these type of objectives? Secondly, best approach to call-in those large corps that don't yet have a program in place (utilizing the above mentioned stats etc)?
Hey Tara Jay,
Great thoughts!
Do you have the reference to the research about millenial/gen z leaving companies? That's really powerful and could definitely help make a case for why companies would want to partner with a nonprofit.
The webinar will address who to approach within a company, and how (regardless of size, regardless if they have a program in place or not). Agreed that it doesn't have to be a big commitment, and I hope to show how you can make it really easy for a company to say "yes" to something small, and get your foot in the door.
Oh, that's fantastic and will definitely help. Thank you.

Great info, thank you!
For us in developing country its very diffcult to get corporate partner from outside the country and some corporate not willing to patner with non profit
I hope some of the ideas I share in here will help and encourage you. The strategy requires very little risk from the company - so if you find overseas companies who are the right fit for you (overlapping values, mission, and even markets where they sell), it will be much easier.
Thank you for the reply
